With stunning natural beauty, mountain ranges, rivers, thick forests, Luang Prabang is ideal for trekking lovers. Depart from Luang Prabang for an uphill drive towards the northeast to Ban Pha Nom, a silk waving village, continuing to Noon Rapid to explore the gravesite of Mr. Henry Mouhot – the French naturalist who introduced Angkor Wat to the world – lying hidden beside the Nam Khan River under the bamboo forest. Head to Ban Xieng Lom elephant camp for an hour of elephant trekking through the teak forest and rice fields. After lunch, trek from Ban Suan, inhabited by H’mong and Khmu ethnic minorities for 2 hours until we reach Tad Sae waterfall. There are numerous cascades and pools with turquoise water for optional bathing (yet no water from April to August). Navigate boat upstream to Ban Ann Savan followed for a transfer back to Luang Prabang. End of services (hotel accommodation today is not included)
